  1. Windows Server 2016 Essentials Connector not working after Windows 1903 update

After upgrading my Windows 10 Pro 1809 to 1903, the Essentials connector was not working anymore as in the login process did not work. I always got the error message "Server is not online. Do you want to log into the offline mode?" on my Windows PC. Several reinstallations later it still does not work and therefore the backup of my PC not either.
Please provide a solution to this problem or solve it with a cumulative windows update.

  2. Add an upgrade path to upgrade a client OS (e.g. Windows 10 Pro) to Windows Server.

A lot of small organizations start off using something like Windows 10 Pro for their server, but as the organization grows they'd like to upgrade in place to Windows Server. Right now, you can't do that. So I have seen a lot of organizations stay using the non-server OS basically until the server hardware fails and the recovery needs a clean install anyway. An in place upgrade path would definitely increase sales.

  4. Repair Task Scheduler on Server 2019

I have been fighting task scheduler for a while and have determined that there is most definitely an issue with task scheduler

we have a batch file that calls an executable.
We can run that batch file from the file explorer and we can watch with a ui and see all the different actions being taken, typically about 120 lines of actions. and this typically takes about a minute and a half to run.

When we put that same batch file in task scheduler and run it on maybe a reocurrance of every 10 minutes, task scheduler starts the task,…

  6. Fix Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) Email Notifications support for SSL / STARTTLS

Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) is able to send email notifications via an SMTP using Options / E-Mail Notifications.

However at present it does not support STARTTLS or SSL - which means it is impossible to use directly with Office 365 or Gmail, it sends any authentication details in plain text, and the emails themselves are sent unencrypted. It's 2019 - can we get basic security support built into this product, please?

  7. Provide basic support for Vmware .vmdk

Provide basic support for Vmware .vmdk.
It is weird that I am able to open a .vmdk file with 7zip but not from within Windows.
Provide support to mount .vmdk disks (and others like VDI) and at least read access to copy files from other virtual disk formats. Mounting should include mounting in virtual guests as well.

  8. Enable the selection of the issuer claim per OpenID relying party

AD FS publishes two different issuer values in the public https://<domain>/adfs/.well-known/openid-configuration : One is called 'issuer' the other is 'accesstokenissuer' - the accesstokenissuer is optional in the standard. The value that is issued in the access token iss claim is always the 'accesstokenissuer' some clients (.Net ones) validate the access token against the 'accesstokenissuer' others (using open source libraries) will only validate against the 'issuer'
It would be great if I could select per relying party which value is returned in the access token iss claim.

  10. ADFS should automatically issue claims requested in metadata

Several major versions later, and ADFS STILL requires manual selection of claims, even when they're specified in referenced metadata. It would be much easier to walk clients through RP setup if that part of the standard were supported.

  13. Please provide a step by step process for integrating from Windows Server 2016- Windows Server 2019.

I have found absolutely no information as to how to migrate my current Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2019. Please create a step by step easy to use document(s) or video(s). I am working in a virtual environment, and this is very frustrating as the information on Windows Server integration page is outdated. (2016)

  14. Make Internet Explorer 11 to support the new Chromium engine based Edge for modern pages

Lot of enterprises still using IE11 as a default browser, therefore modern solutions cannot be provided without enabling another browser. Because Internet Explorer 11 is still supported, maybe it would be a great idea to provide the possibility to webdevs to able to use modern engine (with meta tag).

  15. Update ADMT to officially support Windows Server 2016 & Recent SQL version

Hi! There is currently no official support for Windows Server 2016 to run ADMT. It remains an important tool and I'm sure many will appreciate not needing to install older versions of Windows to migrate between AD's.

  16. Update Internet Printing Feature

    Hello,

as it is quite comfortable for users to simply open a website, click on the desired printer and simply click connect to install it, I would like to ask if there are plans to update the Internet Printing Feature as it is only working with IE. And as we all know IE is going to be kicked sooner or later so that the feature becomes useless. I would love to see this function updated with Corporate Identity options, domain trust settings. Maybe even one website for all print servers in the company? Or maybe you can put it in…

  17. dex

Android Remote Desktop app works almost flawless in Samsung DeX enviroment, however
    1. Android Remote Desktop and Dex's Minimized/Max/Close bar always interferance each other, cause Android RD close by accident all the time.

    2. Wish there is fullscreen mode for Androd RD to hide Dex Start bar

    Thanks

  18. HAVE LAST 60 SECONDS RECORDED OF MOVEMENT, LIKE CACHED ACTIONS, WATCH AND DELETE VIA VISUAL and audio and brainwave REWIND, NOT JUST UNDO

Basically its the first step to thought recording. We can navigate, store, rewind, remind and recall where our mouse, our screen and our mind were tracking at a specific time.
    Applications could be-
    undoing otherwise irreparable damage
a defence in court, time stamped the environmetr under which a decision might have been poorly made
where there is a debate over who came up with an idea first
research into the annuls (files) of a genius mind, or a madman, or a teacher

It allows for some bad decisions and rework
It might comfort loved ones to know via the holder…

  19. Windows Server 2016 Essentials Connector broken on Windows 10 1803

After upgrading a machine to Windows 10 1803 (build 17115) the Essentials Connector no longer connects to the server, does not run any of the apps and deinstallation/reinstallation including fresh install clearing down registry and ProgramData does not fix it. This will block upgrading my estate to Windows 10 1803 if not fixed urgently. Have also reported back through Feedback App on Windows 10.

  20. Make Server Essentials 2016 Connector More Robust to Windows Upgrades

The Server Essentials Connector client often loses its connection to the server following a Windows Update. This is both frustrating if seen, or an issue if missed (if the icon is not always shown) as it can lead to backups not happening for a number of days. Normally it is then just a case of running the ClientDeploy app, but you have to know where to find this (it is not added to the all programs list).

Ideally the connector should be much more robust to Windows Updates and should simply "just work" but, if it does not connect it…
