  2. Make it easier & quicker to deleat old emails.

Need a way to delete a large number of old emails. I have some 4,000+ emails going back to 2003. I've moved several times & most are no longer needed or of use. Yes, I have an older machine & Windows Live Mail. Besides doing it one by one, I find no way to delete - say a page of old emails at the same time.

  7. Prevent Update nag firing when you clink in to the update screen

When updates are pending on our Server 2016 estate handled by WSUS we should get a prompt to advise that updates are pending. This is all fair and well if you aren't particularly going in to do the updates.

If you are straight on the box and going into updates as soon as you click Update and security the update nag fires taking over the screen only to have the option to show the updates that are locked in the background that I already navigated to. Clearly this is not the expected behaviour and hopefully is just the OS going…

  9. Get-Item through Invoke-Command in Windows Server 2019 returns local result

Invoking Get-Item 'HKLM:\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\' locally will Return amongst others fDenyTSConnections When invoking the same command wrapped in an Invoke-Command the local server values were returned. When running the Get-Item cmdlet in locally or in a PSSession the right result is returned.

  10. Unexpected Shutdown Event Tracker fails to save

After a crash, windows prompts the user to provide information on why the failure occurred. This is done at login via a prompt. In server 2019 with UAC enabled (for local admin, and prompt on secure desktop). The system will prompt on EVERY login and never goes away. Only by disabling UAC does the system 'save' the failure reason and no longer prompts on login.

  12. OpenSSH on Windows should include ssh-copy-id

The OpenSSH distribution that comes with Windows as an optional component should contain ssh-copy-id to make copying public keys to remote systems easier than the sequence outlined on https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/openssh/openssh_keymanagement

  13. Enable the selection of the issuer claim per OpenID relying party

AD FS publishes two different issuer values in the public https://<domain>/adfs/.well-known/openid-configuration : One is called 'issuer' the other is 'access_token_issuer' - the access_token_issuer is optional in the standard. The value that is issued in the access token iss claim is always the 'access_token_issuer' some clients (.Net ones) validate the access token against the 'access_token_issuer' others (using open source libraries) will only validate against the 'issuer'
It would be great if I could select per relying party which value is returned in the access token iss claim.

  15. mprddm.dll

The pppoe in rras is broken, there are multiple reports on this, with 'patched' Windows server DLLs floating around. This is unacceptable, and these issues have even persisted from 2012 to the current 2019.
    Please advise.

  16. Robocopy - Needs Creation Date Functionality

Posted to Bug as all other robocopy posts have been placed here.

It is fairly common for organisations to have a temporary area accessible by all staff to allow a common area to access files. For these type of temporary areas, some sort of scheduled cleaning regime needs to be in place so that files older than a certain number of days are automatically removed.

A common cleaning approach is to move files past a nominated age to a staging folder and then empty the staging folder. Unfortunately robocopy's MINAGE switch operates on Modified Date that makes it non-functional for…

  17. Windows Defender should allow admins or SCCM to see all exclusions in place even the Microsoft built in exclusions.

Currently you cannot see all exclusions in place in windows defender. Exclusions you put as well as the built in exclusions. There should be a way to see one complete list of exclusions. I should not have to travel to a MSFT website to see what they added. One effective policy would be nice.

  19. Add WPF Support to WinPE

While never fully supported, the support WinPE had for WPF was enough to allow folks to build flexible, customized tools. Most of us who have done it are SCCM admins building custom front-ends for the OSD process.

The excellent community has found a workaround to keep WPF going, but it would be nice to have support officially back to at least the level it was.

    Thanks!

  20. robocopy /mt causes incorrect summary for copied and skipped files

Issue relating to robocopy is detailed here:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/cd9b83c1-bd01-41ee-8f56-ea9db4e598bb/robocopy-with-mt-switch-seems-to-show-different-summary-info-why?forum=winserverfiles&prof=required

When using the /MT to a directory that already exists the files are not skipped. This is the opposite behavior to what happens without the /MT flag. This issue is picked up reviewing the summary.
