UserVoice Microsoft Windows Server has a Copyright 2015 (and it feels like it)
This website from UserVoice shows a copyright of 2015 with a blurry low resolution Microsoft logo and it certaainly feels like 2015. This site and the Remote Desktop Services ( https://remotedesktop.uservoice.com/forums/266795-remote-desktop-services-for-enterprises ) feel as if Microsoft has left Windows Server as forgotten product line.
I know Microsoft has been forced to change gears to reconnect with the standard consumer, but what about the Windows Server specialist. Is this how we are going to improve Windows Server deployments?

Make Windows 10\Office 2016 Searches as good as they were with on Windows 7\Office 2010
In Windows 7, Office 2010 I used to be able to search EVERYTHING that was indexed on my computer, files, emails, .psts, etc. INSTANTLY.
I have since been upgraded to Windows 10 and Office 2016 and the searches are a nightmare and very slow. I can only search emails while in Outlook 2016(no longer from Windows Search) and it is significantly slower than the searches on my old computer. Would like to have the ability to search EVERYTHING in my computer returned from Windows Search(Type Here to Search) since I regularly have to find old emails for customers.

Disable Network Interface Card Confirmation Dialog
I had a funny scenario where, in the middle of a presentation, while connected remotely to a server, I disabled the interface card and lost connection to my server.
That happened while I was demonstrating the network card configuration -(LOL).What about creating a confirmation popup before disabling the network card via RDP? :)
Vote for a better Windows!

The AD FS upgrade scenario from 2012 R2 to 2016 with a SQL database is missing 2019 info
The following link contains the steps to upgrade an AD FS farm from 2012 R2 to 2016 when a SQL server is involved. It does not mention 2019.
Is it possible to add it? The process is similar the only difference is the FBL.

Begin by properly documenting the basic keyboard shortcuts Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V, Ctrl-X. This also applies to WaaS. Then hire writers.
Microsoft lawyers claim that Microsoft comes with "help" also known as "documentation." When one examines the claimed documentation one finds the usual finely crafted, artistic web pages that contain minimal information for the technical, non-employees who want a deep dive into how to operate Windows (various attempted releases). It is clear why Microsoft keeps this sort of thing close to the vest. Were it to become clear that there really isn't any documentation and no operating instructions then sales would stay exactly where they are. Nobody cares. Especially among the don't care group are top executives at Microsoft. And the…

Make Branch Cache easier to setup and verify its working.
Make this easier!
To prehash content and preload the content on hosted cache servers
Log on to the file or Web server that contains the data that you wish to preload, and identify the folders and files that you wish to load on one or more remote hosted cache servers.Run Windows PowerShell as an Administrator. For each folder and file, run either the Publish-BCFileContent command or the Publish-BCWebContent command, depending on the type of content server, to trigger hash generation and to add data to a data package.
After all the data has been added to the data package,…

Serve ADFS metadata url with a more appropriate Cache-Control directive
The ADFS metadata url for SAML and Ws-Federation is served with Cache-Control: no-cache which can cause a compliant SAML client to spin. I currently ignore this bad cache directive and impute a computed value from the embedded X509 certificates, which isn't a good choice but better than spinning. A suitable Cache-Control: max age should be provided, probably measured in hours.

Repair Task Scheduler on Server 2019
I have been fighting task scheduler for a while and have determined that there is most definitely an issue with task scheduler
we have a batch file that calls an executable.
We can run that batch file from the file explorer and we can watch with a ui and see all the different actions being taken, typically about 120 lines of actions. and this typically takes about a minute and a half to run. When we put that same batch file in task scheduler and run it on maybe a reocurrance of every 10 minutes, task scheduler starts the task,…

Allow FSRM passive screens on drive with SYSVOL share, that don't break GPO
Now when I install FSRM and passive screen my C: drive which has SYSVOL, it breaks GPO Managment. You cannot edit a GPO or create a new GPO.
Please improve server 2019 by not making this a feature of installing FSRM.
Make it work like it did for server 2016 and below.1 vote
