to consider fighting poor video performance on RDSH
From what I've seen watching videos on RDSH has always been a huge problem. The video stucks, there are artifacts, and very few frames per second. I'm talking about YouTube videos (HTML5 / Flash Player) or third-party-players like VLC Media Player.
It would be great if you could investigate here so watching YouTube videos etc. will be possible on RDSH in the future! I known it is impossible to use graphics intensive applications on RDSH, but why are videos so slow?
I think many users would be glad if they could watch videos in RDSH sessions, this might become a part of our society and might even be important at work (where terminalservers might be used).
I don't expect it to work in fullscreen with 4k, but smooth HD 1080p fullscreen videos (without too high performance consumption ;)) would be great!
We get fluid video, using the setup below BUT
When watching a youtube video, I Noticed that W2016 CPU consumption is twice as much as W2008 R2... This is a big disappointment.
RemoteFX compression "optimized to use less memory" (huuu ? what about using less CPU instead.. )
Image Quality : medium
GPO section for W2008 R2 only (my setup more a fluid video ) :
- Screen capture rate : Highest
- screen image quality : lowest

... must be 'resource consumption' in the last line
