Recently we got an outage on our most mission critical system due to a similar Windows NIC teaming issue. 2 NICs connecting to 2 switches are configured as a teaming. We replaced one of the switch due to a hardware issue. Once the cable was unplugged from the failed switch and plugged in to the new switch. Windows thought the connection is back and start to use the connection (NIC). However the new switch is not configured yet so all servers with the same config start to lose communication with others and got intermittent connection issues.
