Definitely a major pain for users of remote apps on OS Server 2019. If Microsoft wants people to move to the new OS versions, they need to stop breaking existing functionality/features. This needs to be addressed.

Lingering Crystal Reports splash screen that stays on top of all windows, including all OS windows, on macOS makes it very difficult to work. Can't move it, so a big chunk of the screen is simply obscured. Only quitting MRD makes it go away, and with multiple cloud-hosted apps on RDS being a big part of my workflow, well...

Not sure if this is the right place to raise the voice, so I submitted another suggestion here: https://remotedesktop.uservoice.com/forums/266795-remote-desktop-services/suggestions/41035306-fix-the-problem-that-sometimes-splash-popup-window

I submitted a Technical Support Incidents to Microsoft Support to get help regarding this issue. Unfortunately, they couldn't give any help. When I asked if Microsoft acknowledges this issue as a bug in Server 2019, they say "most probably not, thus there is little probability that it will be fixed in the future". I suspect due to recent collaboration between Microsoft and Citrix, Microsoft might no longer have appetite in maintaining RemoteApp solution on their server platforms.
I also confirmed that the same problem doesn't appear when I run the RemoteApp on Windows 10. Yes you can run RemoteApp from Windows 10. See answer from Thorsten Schöning here : https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1226772/can-rdp-clients-launch-remote-applications-and-not-desktops

I am trying RDS 2019 with RemoteApp, and I have issues with startup sprinkle screens. Each sprinkle screen makes a catch on the customer's taskbar and doesn't vanish from work area and taskbar after the presence of the fundamental window. For instance, I run three RemoteApp and I have three sprinkle screens and three program windows on my work area. Also, regardless of whether I close these windows, the sprinkle screens will in any case stay on work area and can't be shut. This happens just in RemoteApp and doesn't happen with a far off work area mode. I attempted to reproduce a RDS ranch once more, however it doesn't help.
This doesn't occur with all projects (having sprinkle screen), however with many. Simultaneously, there were no such issues at RDS 2012R2/2016.
As RDCB and RDSH utilized Windows Server 2019 with most recent aggregate update (2019-01). As customers utilized Windows 10 1709/1809 with same update.
