Remove Xbox applications from Server 2016
I've just installed Server 2016 Tech Preview 3 and I've come accross two applications called 'Xbox Game UI' & 'Xbox Identity Provider' I can't see why these would need to be installed on a server base operating system by default, it is something that I think many organisations would remove, perhaps make a separate install for these apps?
Done! :) This was fixed in TP4.

No it WAS NOT FIXED and is STILL present in Windows Server 2016 as of January 2020!!!!
So MS Server is a toy OS, eh?
This is not fixed. It's still there.
Hey guys, wake up!
It's 3 years old and it is still there! It's crazy that FTE publicly says something that everybody can verify it is not true. Just try to run get-appxpackage *xbox* | remove-appxpackage or Get-AppxPackage | Where-Object -Property Name -eq -value "Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI" | Remove-AppxPackage and you'll get messages about that this feature is part of operating system and can't be removed. What are you doing there? It's crazy to hardwire Xbox into Server OS and publicly say something like this. Horrible work by MS PMs.
C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI_cw5n1j2hxyhgy failed. This app is
part of Windows and cannot be uninstalled

Dear Ned it is still included in Server 2016 and 2019.
this is even known in house, please read the MSIX packaging documentation

Xbox Live Auth Manager
Xbox Live Game Save

I can confirm it's still there.
Get-AppxPackage | Where-Object -Property Name -eq -value "Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI"
But it can be uninstalled:
Get-AppxPackage | Where-Object -Property Name -eq -value "Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI" | Remove-AppxPackage
It's still there,
I'm not sure what fixed means here.
But at least make it possible to uninstall using "remove features or services"

Couldn't agree more with the previous comments here. On every Win Server 2016 with the latest (March 2017) update rollup I still have:
- Two enabled Xbox scheduled tasks
- Two windows services which are set to manual but can be started without problem
- 9 binaries in c:\windows\system32
By my understanding this is not yet done.
This still shows in the RTM version. Please remove.
What a joke still there after cu2
The service is in the RTM - Bloated S.O.
So how come they're in the released version. M$, this is an ENTERPRISE product, not a toy!!!!!
You left the services installed and they made it to RTM
