  1. Hyper-V VMconnection - add support for 4K monitors

Please add support for higher resolution in RDP over VMBus. 2194x1234 is not enough - RDP itself supports more.

  3. High Resolution VMConnection for Linux

Support for high resolution VMConnection with Windows is great in the 1709 release. When configured as an Enahnced Session, it's capable of dynamically resizing due to its use of RDP.

Linux won't have RDP built-in which is required at the moment for Enhanced Sessions, but it would be great if the Hyper-V team could come up with a way to support dynamically resizing Linux's most popular Window Systems... X & Wayland.

I'm not sure how to support X & Wayland. A .deb & .rpm package that installs an "agent" or "Integration Component" that enables this would be great until Microsoft…

  4. Windows 2016 + Win10 Ent VM/Client + RemoteFX => DPI setting not preserved

Host is Win2016 TP4, with Win10Ent VM, and Win10Ent client. RemoteFX enabled, set to 4K resolution with 1GB vram. DPI on Win10 client is 350%, but RDP to Win10Ent VM, DPI setting not preserved. Also cannot open Display Settings within VM - the app crashed and disappeared so can't change DPI within VM. Disabling RemoteFX resolves this issue.

  5. Reduce window chrome for Hyper-V VM

Running a VM in Hyper-V with either Enhanced Session or Virtual Machine connection has a LOT of chrome on the UI. And it's a permanent frame you're stuck with, unless you full screen.

My idea: minimize the chrome on the interface, or all customization on a VM level. Perhaps I don't want to display the power off or shut down buttons on a certain VM.

Alternately, collapsible UI elements would be a plus. I constantly run Windows 8.1 and 7 VMs, and on a modern wide screen display, I'm losing a big chunk of viewable area due to how big…

  7. Virtual Machine Connection: please remember the last selected connection setting - without forcing us to save and lose the connection dlg

    Good evening

If we use Virtual Machine Connection it's really very annoying that the connection dialog does not remember the last selected Display Resolution.

We know that we can save them - but then, we no longer get the connection dialog, which is even worse because we often change other settings, but not the Display Resolution.

    Therefore:
please remember the last used settings of a Virtual Machine Connection without forcing your customers to use the "Save my settings" checkbox and completely losing the useful connection dialog.

The Microsoft "Usability" is really a pain for professional customers which still use Keyboards…

  8. [BUG] Fix Ctrl-Alt-UpArrow keyboard shortcut in Virtual Machine Connection

The shortcut for vmconnect.exe which releases the capture of keyboard and mouse input is Ctrl-Alt-LeftArrow by default and is configurable to a few other key combinations as well. Regardless, of what is configured however, Ctrl-Alt-UpArrow appears to always trigger this functionality as well and it is not even one of the combinations available to be configured to in Hyper-V Settings.

This means this combination is unavailable in other client applications because vmconnect picks it up first.

  9. Add default behaviour to connection bar

Whenever connected to a guest, the connection bar is pinned on the top and needs to be unpinned manually. This is very much annoying.
This needs to be changed to add a default option to have the connection bar unpinned initially.

  10. VMconnect full screen does not display connection bar when DPI higher than 100% on v1607 14393

VMconnect full screen does not display connection bar when DPI higher than 100% on v1607 14393(issue exists with both the server and the client's VMconnection). Only non-enhanced session affected, enhanced session mode is not affected.

It's really inconvenient to use a virtual machine on a full screen at a DPI higher than 100%.

Even with the latest updates installed (as of April 2019), the problem persists

I hope this issue can be fixed in time, at least for now v1607 14393 Server and Client LTSB versions are still in the mainstream support.

How to repo on v1607 14393:

    1. Set…

  11. Virtual Machine Connection: Broken: Toggle Fullscreen by Ctrl-Alt-Break

This annoying bug happens on the Hyper-V Manager 10.0.16299.15

    Good evening

If we double click a VM in the Hyper-V Manager to connect the to the VM Remote Desktop using the Virtual Machine Connection,
then Ctrl-Alt-Break can no longer used to toggle the Fullscreen Mode: The Fullscreen mode is buggy.

It's a shame that M$ does not test basic functions before Customers are forced to use new releases. Maybe you could google for well known best practices to automatically test Software. it's really useful.

    Kind regards,
    Thomas
