Parent Partition Memory Maximum
It would be nice to set a maximum amount of memory that the Parent Partition can consume. If I have a host with 128GB of RAM I would like for example to say that the parent can use a maximum of 4 GB and the remaining amount is guaranteed to be available for VMs. It makes for the configuration of a total amount of static memory that can be assigned to VMs much simpler.

Kamil, Thanks for taking a look at this but what you are referring to would be Parent Partition minimum memory. This is about setting a maximum. This has nothing to do about running things in the parent partition. For example the copying of a large VHD to host local storage is enough to make the Parent Partition consume significant memory resources and cause a VM with static memory assignment to not boot.
No need to waste time on this. Hyper-V is designed to reserver 1GB of RAM for parent and you should never run anything else than Hyper-V on parent partition by design...
