    Hi Team,

performance is very big concern in virtualization platform and some standard templates should be available in Perfmon for access the Reports.

  2. USB 2.0 & 3.0 Passthru for Hyper-V (Windows Server 2016)

Currently, if I want to plug any USB 2.0 or 3.0 device into my Hyper-V host and use it through my VM it will not work.

    Make it so number one...

  3. USB Passthrough Support

Give us the feature VBox provides us already. Like: Plug a USB Dongle in the Host Server and then passthrough to the VM Server where the application is waiting desperately for it. Right now we need special hardware for that which provides access by LAN and special software.

  4. Provide support for USB like a disk in Hyper-v

It is I think one of the most awaited feature. We should be able to create virtual USBs and attach them to VMs. also, we should have an option to present USB as a pass through USB.

  6. In Hyper-V Configuration 8.3. When using the Ubuntu 18.04.1 Quick Create install, there needs to be an option to specify HDD size!

I ran out of disk space on my Ubuntu setup because Hyper-V only provided it a 11GB storage.
You can go back and expand the hard disk, but this does not translate right over into Ubuntu because it will not automatically take up the allocated space.
Now I have to track down the ISO to boot up in Hyper-V to see if I can manage the disk drive. This should all be native to Hyper-V.
In fact the ISO of Ubuntu it downloads she stored so that it can accessed later for instance such as this where a LIVE iso…

  7. Enable Network Selection for Storage Migration

There should be a way to specify a Network to use for Storage Migrations, just like for Live Migrations. If you are not using SMB for your cluster storage, then the ability to specify the network for storage migrations of VMs would be handy so you don't saturate the management network.

  8. Shared VHDX sector size mistmach

Right now if you create a shared VHDX and there's a mismatch between the physical/logical sector size between the physical volume and the VHDX, Hyper-V lets you mount the VHDX but the initialization of the disk fails in the guest with a generic IO error. It would be nice to have some sort of validation done by Hyper-V or that it would support the various sector size for shared VHDX no matter what.

    See the following article:

    http://martinhannemann.com/shared-vhdx-on-storage-spaces/

One of our goal was to convert an existing file server VM into a guest cluster but because of this we either…

  9. Increase checkpoint AVHDX blocksize

Now, block size of AVHDX made by checkpoint is 2MB. Less than 8MB could not perform Slab Consolidation from guest.
