Implement BTRFS Support For Disks and Partitions
To increase interoperability with Linux and to give more options for administrators Microsoft should include a fully-featured BTRFS implementation in Windows Server. This should include all the RAID modes for when creating a BTRFS RAID, Single, Raid1, Raid10, Raid5, and Raid6 (yes I know BTRFS is broken with Raid5 and Raid6, perhaps Microsoft could work with the resolve the issue). We should be able to also format any disk partition with a BTRFS volume. Snapshot creation should integrate with VSS and snapshots should appear in the "Previous versions" tab. Bitlocker should be able to be used with BTRFS as well.…

ErrorCode: 40961
My issue is transfering files with long path names or where I have access denied in the Storage Migration Service.
Error "Couldn't transfer storage on any of the endpoints" and "Check if the source device is online - we couldn't access it."
Transfer validation failed. ErrorCode: 40961
As to this URL:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/storage-migration-service/known-issues#error-couldnt-transfer-storage-on-any-of-the-endpoints-and-check-if-the-source-device-is-online---we-couldnt-access-itBut if I use Robocopy I can copy these files with long path names or if I get access denied.
May we have the same possibilities?

Official support for ReFS on SAN volumes (iSCSI and FC)
Official support for running ReFS on iSCSI san volumes on enterprise san.
There are so many reasons for running ReFS over NTFS, it's a shame it's not officially supported on SAN storage volumes.4 votes -

BUG - Renaming a Folder Causes NTFS Permisions to reset
I just renamed a top level directory on 5 of our file servers. There is 40TB of data across all these servers. Renaming each folder took an abnormally long time, but eventually finished. Come to find out, Windows reset the NTFS permissions on the folder. I did this same operation on two 2008r2 servers and it worked just fine. Windows should not being changing permissions on a simple folder rename

Ship RAM Disk with Windows Server
I would like Windows Server 2016 to ship with an option to install a RAM Drive that can be configured to load as a device driver upon operating system boot.
This could be used for a variety of reasons, but my primary case is for optimizing SQL Server workloads. (I might that I use a RAM disk with my Windows 8.1 computer for the TEMP and IE TEMP directories, which is a great way of clearing out cookies, malware, etc as I just reboot the computer)
Use / Business case:
In earlier versions of SQL Server you were able to…18 votes -

Currently there are only blocking apis for querying the file system (enumerate list of files in a directory, get names etc)
This is problematic when disks are asleep, remote, slow etc

Grant-DFSNAccess requires GUI/cmd intervention to work
As detailed in this KB article from March 2014 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/2938148) the Grant-DFSNAccess cmdlet requires use of the GUI to work, or there is a workaround of using the old dfsutil command instead.
Is it possible to have this fixed so that we can use native PowerShell to configure the DFS environment?

Chkdsk /Scan Has a Bug
The traditional read only chkdsk is finding errors and then recommends running the new chkdsk /scan function. When I run the new /scan function it says there is no problems. Which is it? Details can be found on this Technet post.

Get volume type to differentiate which is local disk, clustered disk, or network share, etc.
From Windows Explorer, besides every volume letters, we have the volume (network location) Type: Local Disk / CD Drive / Clustered Disk / Network Drive. Would like to have a simple powershell command get it.

Simple change the size of the system partition
Forever you Need third Party Tools too easy enlarge or reduze the size of the System Partition. I think it`s time too integrate this in a easy way into the Basic Server Disk Management. (Also if there is no space next to the System Partition)
