Given Nano Server is a server without a GUI or any elements of a GUI is it possible to have a Telnet connection to a nano server using devices root login (only)

Defo not, telnet is insecure and dated.

Telnet is an outdated insecure management approach that should not be implemented anymore, especially since there's PowerShell remoting and soon SSH as well.

Would SSH not be providing the same functionality for remote conenction instead of Telnet?? Please see the other request for SSH
Telnet is a bad idea, it's plain text, powershell remoting is the present/future.
I feel like you need to provide even more easy to setup nano server guidelines. I still have hard time to set one up. Nano server need to be easy to setup and access. When can we test nano server as an azure vm template, or server image template? We need to do it fast before people forget about it. I wish nano server survive. Telnet access is fine with me.just get it out there for people to test first.

Agree with Jake Burgy. No point to have legacy and insecure technology in Nano Server.

What prevents you from using PowerShell Remoting? Telnet is being phased out in favor of PowerShell, so I disagree that this antiquated technology should be included / enabled in a brand new server type.
