[Virtual Machines] Configure Hyper-V host settings
From Private Preview user feedback.
Hyper-V host settings is now supported in Honolulu update 1802 available on Windows Server Insiders. Download it now from the link below and this version will also be publicly available next week. In Honolulu, go to Server Overview > Settings > Hyper-V Host tab, and you can change VHD/VM paths, Enhanced Session Mode, Live/Storage Migration and NUMA Spanning settings. Please give it a try and let us know if you have any feedback!
This is awesome! Thank you!
I ran into an issue in build 1711 yesterday, where a Gen 1 VM for FreeNAS created through Project Honolulu would allow FreeNAS to install, but when I restarted the VM to allow FreeNAS to boot, it ran into a constant fatal error. I ended up having to create a Windows 10 VM, install 10 Pro along with Hyper-V Management Tools, then create the Gen 1 VM that way to get FreeNAS to boot correctly. Something in the configuration of Gen 1 VMs in Honolulu isn't quite right.
I've also noted that Honolulu doesn't allow you to create Legacy Network Adapters for Gen 1 machines either. I had to add one of those through Hyper-V Manager when I created the VM.

Yes please. Would be awesome, to be able to manage RemoteFX and DDA Hardware via Honolulu as well.

I just ran into an issue, where a server has dynamic memory, and I can change it from within the Windows server, but not through Project Honolulu (the settings button is disabled).
