[Virtual Machines] Ability to sort VM into folder
In Standalone, cluster and hyperconverged cluster, I'd like to sort VM into folders.
Users can use “tags” to filter VMs, effectively allowing users to group and sort VMs
How has this not been implemented yet? Microsoft want to sell more SCVMM licenses, that's why
I meant "grouping virtual machines" not "grouping group virtual machines", sigh..
PLEASE can we have folders for grouping group virtual machines? We have several domains with VM's, Each one has a DC called "dc0" - it is difficult to see which is which in FCM. One can add the FQDN of each machine, but that is cumbersome - and doesn't help if the underlying name is different as that is used in backup software. VMware clusters has had folders for over a decade. Why not FCM?
Grouping the VM into groups, like folders, can hel the IT people to organizae the Virtual mchines. Since the market is growing IT has to deploy lots of Vms and having all of them in one plain list can be bit messy.

I agree, I would like to be able to sort and group VM/servers by function, geographic location, etc.

This could be a visual representation of virtual machine collection groups. Powershell command get-vmgroup etc
