[Installation] Domain Controller
I do not see a reason why installing is not possible on a domain controller. I have a single Windows Server 2016 running that has the essentials role enabled and it would be nice to manage this one through the new web interface.
It's a huge security risk to install applications, especially potentially internet available web applications, on a domain controller. That being said, SO MANY BUSINESSES only have a single server for their organization - between hardware and licensing and maintenance overhead it's just not practical to have more than a single server.
I was an avid user of Windows Home Server, when it was deprecated, Windows Server Essentials was used to replace it. Now that I'm using Windows Server Essentials 2016, I too, would like to install this on my server to then manage my clients. But was frustrated to see that it cannot be installed on a domain controller. While I understand some of the ramifications, there are some who want to learn and use this in their very small environment. Installing on another machine isn't really an option as I would like the gateway option so I can also evaluate connecting to Azure and managing IaaS VMs. Thank you!

I'm blocked from upgrading Honolulu because of this.
One issue I understand there is that, the local user and group feature is now the AD users and groups, which is not honolulu can manage now.
