[New tool] [DNS] DNS Server should be manageable via Honolulu
Honolulu should be able to manage DNS settings.

DNS extension sorting
DNS extension should use numerical sorting for IP addresses instead of alphanumeric. For a long list of records, this is really confusing.

[UI] Add Management Tools Based on Installed Roles
Add Management tools for Installed Roles/Features of Managed Servers in Project Honolulu. (e.g. Active Directory Users and Computers if Managing a Domain Controller)
28 votesRole-specific tools (like Virtual Machines for Hyper-V hosts, and Active Directory for Domain Controllers) will only appear if that role is installed on the server you are managing.

[Network] Edit advanced settings in network
So far, only IP address is exposed there, more settings would be very welcome.
Including - but not limited to - Network Location, DNS Suffix, etc.26 votes -
WAC DNS extension should allow delegated permissions
The DNS extension works pretty good, but apparently it needs the user to have permissions to connect to the server.
I guess in multiple organizations, DNS permissions have been delegated so admins can work do stuff, without needing actual DA permissions.3 votes -
DNS needs work
I thought it couldn't get worse than MMC but it did.

[UI] Do not show the tools if it does not apply to the particular server.
Do not show the tools if it does not apply to the particular server.
When a Domain Controller is not hyper-v host, I do not want to see tools like Virtual Machines and Virtual Switches.
I would only like to see the tools that apply to the server, tools that belong to the installed roles and features. On a Domain Controller managment tools such as ADDS, DNS DHCP and a file server DFS and File and Resource management.

[Bug] LDAP Connectivity Fails when AD and Gateway have different DNs
WAC/Gateway Server: 1910.2
Description
Gateway server is located in a site of a corporate domain. When adding security groups AD or local it fails saying that the group was not found in the sub site. Example belowRequest:
Allow modification of the LDAP settings or use the FQDN of the domain rather than accepting the domain name of the gateway server.Note: Please don't ask why it is configured that way or if I can change this. This configuration was in place long before my time and will not be modified.
Example:
AD Domain: na.corp.com
AD NETBIOS Domain: (CORP)

[Connection List] Active Directory sync
Great would be if you can define multiple OUs to connect to, where the computer objects are situated. So not only an import more like a synchronisation, so that if there are new computers added the list is up to date. And a folder browsing that reflects the OUs with some additional views like "All Connections", "Favorite Connections" and "Recent Connections".

Allow creation and editing of TXT records from the DNS extension for WAC

Allow multi column view on DNS
The default DNS it is horizontal column up and down but if it has vertical or multi column support it would be a good idea for IT admin

[UPN] UPN (user@domain.) format should work
Local users and groups management should allow adding user by their UPN logon name - Currently seems to require pre-Windows 2000 DOMAIN\username

WAC 1910; changing network adapter DNS deletes A records and does not recreate
WAC 1910; changing network adapter DNS deletes A records (even static ones) and does not recreate. Primary and Secondary DNS servers get changed even though an error is thrown in WAC "Couldn't update IPv4 network settings..."

Support non-Microsoft DNS and/or DHCP
I know this is a bit of a stretch but being able to support some other DNS/DHCP solutions would be amazing. Perhaps this would be more of an avenue for an IPAM solution to add an extension.

[Network] [New Functionality] Network Monitor
Add Network Monitoring capabilities within Windows Admin center that would display:
- per process breakdown of network send/receive activity w/ PID
- active TCP connections with local & remote port
- remote connection address/resolve to dns
This would be incredibly useful on server core installations where resource monitor is not available.5 votes
