  2. How to get the future pwd from a profile script?

I was pointed to this forum due to
    https://github.com/PowerShell/PowerShell/issues/10568

I want to start a PS shell from the explorer context menu on different folders.
At PS startup a tool should be configured with the actual folder path.
I have tried a init / profile script for this purpose, but the pwd of the script is not the folder path: I get C:\WINDOWS\System32.
I have also checked variables but non of the available values is set to the (future) folder path.
How can I get the folder path in this case?
After the shell is started the correct folder path is…

  3. Every Page MUST contain powershell compatability version information

I am working with multiple versions of powershell and therefore need to know which features are available with which version. This information is never seemingly displayed on any help pages, and therefore makes things very difficult

  5. 'Get-Help about_Functions_Advanced_Parameters' documentation is incorrect

The information that's shown on 'Get-Help aboutFunctionsAdvanced_Parameters' under 'ValidatePattern' is incorrect. It tells us that the "[0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9]" pattern means the parameter value must be a four-digit number, but it should say the parameter value must INCLUDE a four-digit number, as the pattern isn't starting with '^' and ending with '$'.

    So, for example, '12345 -match "[0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9]"' is true, but '12345' obviously isn't a four-digit but a five-digit number.

  12. The lock-bitlocker command help is wrong

The cmdlet documentation for "Lock-Bitlocker" is wrong. First, the example contains the command Lock-Volume, that doesn't exists, and when issuing such command it doesn't recognize the mount point argument, stating it doesn't exists. This seem just an alias for manage-bde -lock "mountpoint" -forcedismount - that one works and should be cited in the documentation.

  17. Get-Help NOTES section identation issue

When we run get-help on cmdlet which has .NOTES the output is unusually indented, even though there is no tab in function documentation.

  18. about_using help topic doesn't exist

On docs.microsoft.com there is a help topic for aboutusing which describes the using keyword that is new in Windows PowerShell 5.0 (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/microsoft.powershell.core/about/aboutusing?view=powershell-5.0).

    Running:
    Get-Help aboutusing
    returns the help topic about
RemoteVariables which describes the $Using prefix used to access local variables from a remote session because that help topic has the keyword "aboutUsing".

The about_using help topic should be added to the help topics for Windows PowerShell 5.1.

  20. geef mijn NAS terug
