The process of creating XML help files is documented on MSDN, but no native tools exist to create these. PowerShell is supposed to help IT Pros automate, but they hit the wall when trying to figure out XML help. Inline help is easy. This is hard. Please create cmdlets to facilitate the creation of XML help files and updateable help files. For example, why not create a ConvertTo-XMLHelp cmdlet; it can read the comment-based help from a module (or import the module and parse the help objects) and crank out the XML version of it. Then the user could run New-ModuleHelpFiles or something similar to read the manifest and generate the appropriate XML and CAB files for updateable help; user would only have to provide parameters for their online web folder where the files are stored and the help version. Lastly, guidance and/or custom cmdlet could transfer the files to the web folder. Bottom line: this is complicated. Improve the documentation and improve the usability for IT Pros. Thanks!
