We’ll work this into the ISE Preview backlog, David. :)
No promise here on this getting done, guys. Feel free to drive up the priority with more votes.

I agree, typing 'exit' in the console should not close the whole ISE since the typical user intent is to close the current PowerShell session. I'll make this change at some point in the future unless there is strong objection from others. Before I start doing the work I'll throw out a poll on Twitter to check opinions. Thanks!

Hey John,
Why do you need to rename an untitled tab? Isn't saving the file all you need to do in this case? Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks,
David

Thanks for filing this! I'm definitely interested in seeing how I can make this happen.

We understand that this would allow a single-point expression of MinimumVersion and MaximumVersion. However, it’s unclear why changing to that nomenclature going to be a high priority. Additional information, particularly about why the existing functionality is insufficient – would help – thanks!

Hi all,
This work has already been started and will likely ship with a future version of the PowerShell ISE Preview. Read more about the Preview here: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/powershell/2016/01/20/introducing-the-windows-powershell-ise-preview/
Thanks,

Thanks Kirk! This is one of the first things I want to try and fix. .NET's FileSystemWatcher should make it fairly easy.

This is something we’d like to fix, but we’re still evaluating at a high-level how to make future improvements to Out-GridView.
Thanks,

This is definitely high-value, and we plan to do it eventually in the PowerShell ISE Preview. Read more about it here: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/powershell/2016/01/20/introducing-the-windows-powershell-ise-preview/

Hi Bartek,
You’re right in that this is annoying. We will likely change the behavior as a bugfix. If anyone really, really likes the old behavior, we may decide to add an option to re-enable it.
Thoughts everyone?
Joey

Or if not configurable, it should at least use an optimal width for the completions that are being displayed.
