Also happens with -match operator. The non-repeating version works:

'"name":"XYZ" Go to Library for reading' | select-string -Pattern '"(.*)"'

(.*) is the capture group. Adding the + (.*)+ should cause repeating captures in the input but it just hangs when the + is added.

This seems to have been fixed on 51/W10 but a new issue ahs surfaced:

The help files now exist in two places:

    C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\PSWorkflow\en-US
    and
    C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\en-US

Which also causes the duplicate refrences and blocks access to the help files duplicated. Renaming the files in "C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\en-US" fixes the issue. The issue happens for more than the WF module..

Empty and null are not identical. A variable is either defined or not. It is never empty. ValueType are considered $false when tested when they contain the initial default value.

Objects are never null or $false. THs is by design.

I have verified this by creating a simple module with manifest and texting. The module loads and displays a correct path in the GetAssemblies() call. Adding the classes to the module and reloading shows the incorrect characters in the GetAssemblies() call.
